January 16, 2006’s Pioneered Idea Replicated By “DOWNBUSH”

Filed under: Random Discussions — milliondollarbush @ 5:35 am is what we like to call ‘TAKER OF GREAT IDEA TAKEN FROM GREAT IDEA.”

A website using our pioneered idea to use one of the most discussed and scrutinized icons in the world in a comedic way to sell advertising space, and also give to charity, Downbush understands our success and would like to attempt the same.

Claiming that “We plan to fund another business we have started. The funds from will help us get the office space and equipment we need to expand our business,” the operator of this site is working towards achieving similar success to However, we are one of a kind and not affiliated with any of the other Bush or political pixel advertising sites.

Fortunately for our clients and fans we have not disclosed the interactive way in which the charity will be chosen, or how the final 999 pixels will be filled and monies distributed. That information will be given at a later date so as not to tip-off imitators.

There is only one original (inspired by Alex’s MillionPixelHomepage) Million Dollar Bush site and it is right here. Thanks to everyone who has written in, we appreciate your interest and help with our endeavor. As you all know we created this site because we saw an ingenious business model and wanted to make it something unique, interactive and humorous.

Thought you would enjoy the fact that our success is driving imitators of our own.

PS – “” seems to be another clever model of this new form of Advertising!

  5. Whoever you are impersonating President Bush. Read the facts. This is a humorous website and not doing anything than playing on what is a common perception of GWB from many people nationwide. In addition, would the President really appreciate you pretending to be him (as you come to us from a registered NASA IP address? ; ) Don’t worry your secret is safe with MDB.

  6. Hey, you should really do more research. Your domain was registered on 31-Dec-05. was registered on 30-Dec-05. Looks like you’re doing the imitating.

And another thing why is your domain name registered until only Dec-07? Kinda stupid when you claim that you’re site will be online for 5 years.

  7. First of all, was not inspired by or copied from The site was thought of well before it was registered. was registered on 03-Jan-06, a mere three days after was registered.

A little research is all that is needed to refute the claim that copied from Some simple internet research has shown that although was registered 31-Dec-05 it did not come online until 08-Jan-2006. So how is it that which was registered on 03-Jan-06 could have stolen an idea from a site that was not online until 08-Jan-06???

  10. Are your really impersonating the president from a government computer? If so you must me one dumb ass. I am pretty sure you can get arrested for that if not you can surly get fired.

  11. Haha, people impersonating the president. German papers reporting on this website. People making claims about domain registration dates and terms.. I laugh at all of you feeble Americans. The founders of this site are amazing because they had a humorous vision and plan to make the million dollar page idea EVEN BETTER, and now they have people saying “it sucks” but hyping their own website at the same time. Foolish….
